On the ferry Crossing the Thames at Woolwich
Having completed the mowing of 60 acres of ground for J H Landscapes on a wet November Friday evening, Nick Manderfield caught the Ferry at Woolwich, crossing the Thames and then on through London, past Big Ben to bring his kit back to base at Binfield.

Claas Lexion 580 Directors Practising What They Preach
Jim Bryce harvesting 60 acres of grain maize with a tracked Claas Lexion 580 in mid November (a first in the area a far as we know). This was followed by a Horsch CO4 drill from H.B.H (Farming) Ltd, drilling wheat successfully through the maize stalks and mulch in a one pass operation.

Seppi Mulcher Scrub and Tree Mulcher
In December '03 we made members aware of a heavy duty flail cutter, capable of pulverising scrub and trees up to 5" diameter. At work, it has proven very impressive and cost effective, particularly for clearing pheasant rides, drives, or rhododendrons, and for thinning out of grant aided planting.

Crawler subsoiling Deep Subsoiling
Over a period of months, a large mains water pipe supplying Reading had been leaking. The soil structure on a number of acres had slumped. The pictures show a 40 year old Caterpillar crawler on its old tracks happily subsoiling to a depth of 20 inches with 5 legs. The subsoiler is capable of 30 inches if needed.
